Overview

The mnemonic PassiveDNS service passively collects DNS queries from our sensor network around the globe. Parts of the collected data is private, while other data is collected from public collection points.

The public data is available to anyone through our PassiveDNS portal, or through the Public API Guide.

Private data is available through the same API, but requires an Private API Guide and user privileges to access.

Public users

Users of the public PassiveDNS service should take a look at the Simplified Integration Guide.

This guide is aimed at users without private data.

Customer users

Users with access to private data in the PassiveDNS service should take a look at the Full Integration Guide.

This guide also includes options related to customer data, filtering of anonymous data and other.
